I was at Newcastle last weekend and had the fish out, totally ripped on the saturday, great waves, lots of fun.
Was down at the surf comp for the local club - Bar Reef Rats, at Bar Beach.
plenty of comments on the board...." a work of art", " beautiful stick" and "hey, that thing looked to go well" (which must mean i didn't look like a kook).

Hi Mark, finally we are in the house and have photos for you of the surfboard, it is amazing and the centre piece of the room and everybody that comes in the house is very impressed, its the conversation piece of the house. We even found out friends of ours had a board made by you for a friends 40th in Sydney years ago, what a small world!
We can't thank you enough for helping us get our picture of what we wanted made to be a reality and done so well, its perfect

G’day Mark,
Last year I bought your manual on how to make a solid balsa surfboard. I ended up making the board out of paulownia that I sourced from a local mill. I enjoyed making the board and will probably make more in the future using the techniques in your manual. The things that I did differently was chamber the timber because paulownia is a fair bit heavier and I did not use any resin or glass. I have been surfing the board since I have finished it in January and I am happy with the way it performs (biased). Thanks for the manual it was very helpful. I have attached a couple of pics.

Just dropping you line to let you know I had the 12'6" out on Sunday down at Bellambi point break. It had been some time since I'd had it out...What a blast the board is outstanding riding the 12'6" again well what can I say words fall short of the feelings you get as you are on to a wave slide down the face make the turn and just glide across the wave with such speed and power, I truly feel free, the buzz you get with the best part of 9' of out in front of you ,,,well it just blows me away. Thanks again for making such a GREATboard.

The board is looking really terrific. I hung it as soon as it got home, and it fits perfectly with the ambience. The colours are so good, with different shades, even some pink!
Problem is my wife says I shouldn't be riding it!!
