End grain comes in a range of thicknesses from 5-55mm thickness, it is Kiln Dried and comes flexible or rigid. It is light and strong and thus has great compression and sheer properties.
Balsa Wood is compatible with virtually all resin systems and reinforcements, and the majority of composite manufacturing processes. It has been well proven over many years as a structural core material for a wide range of sandwich core constructions in the marine, transportation, commercial and industrial product markets. End Grain balsa is well proven in a variety of applications and is used worldwide by major manufacturers in Marine, Transport, Industrial, Military and Agricultural applications when high strength and low weight panels are required.
