Riley Balsawood Surfboards has made another huge investment and commitment to helping the environment by not using coal fired power. We have partnered with Jackgreen to be using 100% power from Hydro, Wind and Solar Power. We have converted the entire factory including machinery and lighting to GreenPower.

Mark Riley was convinced to convert to GreenPower by many different factors – the main was to stop burning coal, and that that the company JackGreen is Australian Owned, they donate and support Planet Ark.

What is Renewable Energy?
- Renewable energy is electricity produced by clean resources that are not infinite and are replaceable. It is generated from water, the sun and wind.

Can I help combat climate change by switching to Green power?
- Yes, by using renewable energy sources you are taking a huge step in comabting climate change. The more people that switch to Green power, the more impact we have reducing greenhouse gas emissions and fighting climate change.

What does Jackgreen Energy do?
- Jackgreen is a licensed electricity retailer. It buys renewable energy from a range of suppliers and provides this to their customers. The distribution of the electricity is handled by third parties that own the poles and wires. Jackgreen makes it super easy to switch to Green power. They have a range of Green products on offer. They are Australian owned so you should definitely check out their website.

What is GreenPower?
- Green Power is a national accreditation program that verifies renewable energy production in Australia. It gives you the guarantee that the electricity you buy from Jackgreen Energy comes from renewable sources.
