Making a surfboard is a great project at any time of the year. With the right materials and instructions you are certainly going to enjoy the experience and get the result you wish for. We help out many surfers (a lot of year 12 students) every year and everyone has been stoked about his or her board. Complete surfboard shaping sets: include everything from the balsa wood, DVD and written instructions, rocker template, glue, sealer, putty, nose and tail block material etc.

Instructions: DVD or Ebook: detailed instructions on how to make a balsawood surfboard. Either as a 65 min DVD or a 17 page Ebook.

Balsa Blanks: for a little head start we offer solid or foam core blanks. All sizes available from retro style fishes to balsa skinned - foam core, high performance longboard blanks.

Raw balsa wood: we import the largest section sizes of balsa wood in Australia and have almost everything in stock. Any shape and size is available. Contact Mark at mark@riley.com.au to discuss what you need.

All blanks are hand crafted in Australia.

Please note: Hollow boards are very difficult to make without any real benefits and they need to be well maintained and they are difficult to repair, they are also very limited to your custom shape – we do solid and foam core!
