Shortboard blank - 3mm balsa skin with an EPS foam core

If you want to shape your own high performance shortboard - This 3mm balsa-skinned blank is ideal for you. Specify what you want - any size and stringer combination is possible (download the custom order form here). The blank features a recycled EPS foam core making it one of the lightest and strongest blanks available (6'0 only weighs 2.5 kgs unfinished and 3.1 kgs when glassed and finished ). The blank is pre-shaped to your specifications, the plan shape, rocker, dome on the deck and bottom are finished. You need to finish the rails off with a block planer & sandpaper. Then decide on tail shape (square, swallow, pin etc.). Cut and sand tail & nose to your requirements. Do an overall finish sand and it's ready for glassing. The time you'll need to finish the board depends on experience (approximately 2-4 hours).

This blank is suitable for everyone - the experienced shaper looking for a new material/experience as well as absolute novices who want to shaper their first surfboard.
