The cork is cut off the tree, cleaned, boiled and baked.
No chemicals are used and the end result is a biodegradable product. Cork is a renewable resource and its harvesting is a truly sustainable example of agro forestry. Why does cork make a great pad?

It's light and soft, no hard ridges on your pad to cut your knees. Cork does not absorb water, it repels it---that means your surfboard tail remains light and agile for those sick turns. Cork is a natural fire retardant, so your board won't catch fire.

Treehugger Surf Wax is all natural. The main ingredient is Beeswax which is melted and combined with a mix of coconut and other vegetable oils. Natural plant based gums are added for stickiness and natural minerals and clays are added to create a thicker wax that bumps up quickly when it’s rubbed on your surfboard.

Treehugger wax is made of all natural biodegradable and sustainable ingredients and contains no petroleum by-products, harsh chemicals or synthetic materials.

Even the packaging is from 100% post consumer recycled paper.

For best results apply to a clean, unwaxed surfboard out of direct sunlight.
